This note models a 3-phase PM axial flux generator with a 9-coil stator and dual 12-magnet rotors in EMWorks, computing magnetic flux density, induced voltages, flux linkage and phase inductances at 1000 rpm.
This note analyzes a permanent magnet axial flux generator under no-load, short-circuit and loaded conditions. Using 3D electromagnetic simulation, it evaluates back-EMF versus speed and magnet type, current and voltage waveforms for different load configurations, and winding, core and eddy current losses to guide efficient and reliable generator design.
