EMS uses the finite element method to simulate electric machines as well as devices that are based on the electromagnetic phenomena. It is intuitive and easy-to-use, thanks to its full integration in SolidWorks, the #1 CAD package. Nevertheless, it remains a field solver which yields primarily the electric and magnetic fields. Such results are oftentimes of little interest to the machine designer. The latter is more often than not look for mechanical parameters such as force and torque and/or electric parameters such inductance, capacitance, impedance, back emf, voltage, and current.
In this webinar, we will show you step-by-step how to visualize your results in EMS. We will explain to you how to look inside your device and locate hot spots and design anomalies.
