A Solenoid Design in EMS

May 16, 2013

Designing a solenoid can sometimes be challenging. Most of the commercial software packages that may be used for solenoid design are difficult to use. In addition, they oftentimes require from the designer to simplify the geometry, which can result in the loss of critical details and thus affecting the solenoid performance. EMS makes the exception. It is fully integrated inside SolidWorks and Inventor. Consequently, the solenoid designer needs not to simplify the geometry or worry about CAD. The design can indeed be taken from drafting straight to analysis.

In this webinar, we will show you, step by step, how to perform a solenoid analysis in EMS. You will see the seamless integration of EMS in SolidWorks and Inventor. We will show you how to compute critical solenoid parameters such as force, magnetic flux density, magnetic field intensity, force and current density, plunger motion, and much more.
