Simulation of Bistable Actuators inside SOLIDWORKS
Wednesday, April 4, 2018
Bistable actuators are widely used in aerospace, MEMS, biomedical and several applications which demand precision movements. Their design contains a permanent magnet and a coil arranged in such a manner that enables 2 stable positions of a ferromagnetic yoke.
Join us to see how you can easily design and simulate such actuators using EMS for SOLIDWORKS. In this webinar, a coupled EM and Motion simulation will be shown to measure the response characteristics of the movable yoke. Also, the holding forces at each stable position will be calculated. Based on the results, an effective excitation strategy can be adopted for the actuator.
