Simulating a circuit breaker inside EMS for SOLIDWORKS

March 7, 2018

High-speed, electromechanical circuit breakers are essential components of electrical circuits. Their purpose is to instantaneously break the high current overloads, in cases where the thermal-based mechanism would be too slow. Electromechanical tripping relies on an electromagnet that separates the conductors once the electromagnetic force overcomes the retaining force of a mechanical spring.

In this webinar, you will learn how to use EMS for SOLIDWORKS to analyze the forces acting inside an electromagnetic breaker and compute how much time it takes to react.
