In this application, a 2D model of high-power busbars is analyzed using EMWorks2D inside SOLIDWORKS. Transient electromagnetic simulations are performed to compute the different busbars parameters including magnetic field, eddy currents, proximity effects, electromagnetic losses, etc. In addition to these results, several physical phenomena like proximity, skin effects and shielding effect are evaluated.
