ATLASS Advanced consists of two modules that seamlessly access its vast library of transmission line elements. The first module is an embedded 2D finite element field solver where meshing and solving are entirely transparent to the user. This module provides electrostatic modal solutions (potential and electric field) as well as full-wave, multi-mode solutions. Modal/characteristic impedances can be computed, as well as RLCG, propagation and loss parameters. The second model provides spice-like simulation to assess signal integrity and cross-talk performance of single and multiple conductor transmission lines. It also has a built-in non-uniform transmission simulation technique and provides both frequency and transient time domain responses under varying source and load conditions.
